Set up confidential e-mail addresses?

  Noels 17:53 08 Nov 2008

Problem son and daughter in law have their own e-mail addresses and receive their e-mails via OE both can read each others e-mails.
Daughter in law now has a new job as company sec and receives company e-mails which are confidential.
How can they set up their OE accounts so that daughter in law can open company e-mails in her own name. At present when they open OE all their e-mails show together.
They are with orange.
Hope this explanation is clear enough?

Your daughter-in-law can set up her own folder in OE and using Message rules (under Tools) place all email addressed to her into her own folder rather than in the Inbox.

The messages would still "show" and could be accessed by your son if he was inclined to.

She could also install a second email program (e.g Eudora) and use that to access her mail and leave your son to use OE, or vice versa.

A more secure option would be for your daughter in law to create a new identity for her work mail in OE. When you set up the identity it gives the option to password protect the access to that identity. Creating her mail account in this identity and deleting it in the Main identity would mean that only she could access her work mail.

...and I think beeuuem,s is safest due the confidentiality of her emails.
