Services in MSconfig

  belayer 20:55 03 Jan 2008

I was browsing round my laptop and looked in MSCONFIG. On the 'services' tab I noticed that every single item is ticked and running, even when I am doing nothing.

Can I safely 'untick' some of the items and speed up my laptop?

Which must I NOT untick, if any?

If you turn any of those off without knowing exactly what you are doing your risk a crash or - worse - Windows won't start again.

Best left alone!

OK VoG, thans for the warning, I will read the articles and if I am not sure about anything I will leave well alone.

Thanks guys.
