Services msc entry ?

Trying to stop Epson Smart panel loading at startup, I had a look at services msc, and was a bit dumbfounded by the very first entry on the list:

##Id_String2.6844F930_1628_4223_B5CC_5BB94B879762##

If I highlight this and right click for properties, it lists the path to executable as "C:\Program Files\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe".

What on earth is this?

Thanks for the two links. I've got iTunes and also Photoshop CS3, so don't quite know how I got it. Do I need it?

It installs with iTunes, you can only prevent that happening by manually extracting and installing only the iTunes app from the download. click here

You can remove it using Add/Remove Programs after the event though.

It it doesn't appear in add/remove programs, but I managed to delete it following the link posted by Fingees.

I have to say, .... you guys (and Gals?) are absolutely amazing .... the wealth of information you conjure up in a matter of seconds is astounding.

Many thanks for your help here. :-)
