Server problems

I am using IE 7 and when starting up in the morning I have no problem sending and receiving emails. Later when either sending or receiving I get the following message and the only way to receive or send is to do a restart. Sometimes it will make the connection on its own if I leave it for an hour or so but most times I have to do a restart. Any ideas as it is driving me crazy.
