running xp home, just bought new canon i850 printer, attempting to set up, can not load due to a file missing for usb support the file is usbprint.sys can't seem to find it anywhere.please help.

Hi jimmer409?Try entering filename into search; I've just done this and found 3 instances of the file in Windows\system32\drivers and Windows\system32\driver cache.Hope this helps, Toxin.
thanks toxin tried that, no luck, no files found, susposedly the file in in service pack 1 cd??? or in windows INF???
have you searched on the driver cd which came with the printer, it may be there but in a different directory, canon & Olivetti are known for this......
i just did a search on winxp pro and found the file inC:\WINDOWS\system32\driversif you cant find it, send me an e-mail and i will send the file to you.
thanks paperman27, managed to search and find the file on a net site, everything now ok, downloaded the file and it is in fact now in sys32/drivers, could you please confirm the size24.2kb, thanks jim
