Using Microsoft Outlook I used to be able to send e-mails to my own e-mail address. I then opened them at my office and kept them on my office computer as back-up. However, for some reason I send them normally now but they don't arrive. I've been on the BT Helpline and they talked me through a number of checks but none solved the problem.

Any kind advice out there?

Are you using the address book, if so delete the entry and remake it.


Is there a server at work blocking the email?


Try sending one from work and then replying to it when you get home.

The last will check if its getting through, if not call your ISP

Thank you.

I did delete from address book and retry but no use.

I cannot access it from any computer - not just work.

I'll try option three tomorrow.

Easiest thing is to open another email account (g-mail, yahoo or something like that). You then send from one account to the other each time.

Just a thought, are BT blocking your email as spam.


Which firewall are you using?

have you physically opened your BT server to see if they have been put in the bulk mail box as spam ?
