Hi all
Is it possible to send fax via broadband.
As i do not have a dail up modem any more and need to send some faxes. Without additional charges
currently using usb broadband modem.

No you can not do this directly as fax has to be sent by a telephone line.

There are redirection services available that will do it for you - at a cost

Buy a cheap - £10 or so - soft modem and use that to send faxes. Only other thing needed is a fax utility and XP has the excellent Fax Console.

Needs to be a fax modem.

There are companies that will do it for you, I'm afraid I don't know which they are but they all charge some sort of fee. If its just the odd one you're talking about sending then Stuartli's option is the cheapest.

Please do read the T&C & remember to cancel before you're charged. G

Totally Free (really) online faxing click here - definitely worth a try!

From the mainpage (click here & scroll down) - "We have a FREE FAX facility where we invite you to send a fax free to anywhere in the world." I guess that's one free fax per person?? But who's monitoring it?

More info you may find helpful:

Yet another SPAM poster...:-(

Even more annoying when it involves reviving a near four year old thread.
