securty certificate warning

  iamalipaul 22:33 06 Nov 2007

I have a problem with security certifcate warnings when browsing.

I have two computers through a router both with XP, one has the 'security certifacye warning' the other does not. Usually when I log into a secure site (banking, ebay, paypal and this one). I can log into the same sites from the other computer without problems. The only difference I think is that this computer has IE with the tabbed browsing (7 I think) and the other does not. I feel its a setting in the security but dont know which one, rather than a nasty.
any ideas?
thanks in advance

Tools -options -advanced tab- click retore advanced settings - tick turn on automatic website checking - click apply.

Then you will have the correct security settings.

If you have problems after that thenyou need to update your Sun Java.

Check your firewall settings, briefly disable your firewall and try again.
If this is the case, you will need to adjust your firewall settings.
If using a firewall such as Zonealarm,it could have been a case of clicking an allow/deny warning.

Hi Skidz

I just get the pink address bar with the firewall switched off. Im using the windows firewall only.

Just a quick check in Add remove,Java version 6 update 3 is the latest version,If you have any other versions Delete them all Run C Cleaner and just reinstall the latest version only.
