Security Windows Vista

Could you tell me whether I need any additional protection to that built into Windows Vista Premium Home addition.If so, what do you suggest and whilst loading will I need to switch off Windows protector. Thank you

Yes! I have Vista(HP) - sigh!
I also run AVG8, ZoneAlarm, SpyBot S&D TeaTimer, ThreatFire and Spyware Blaster.
Windows defender is enabled but the windows firewall is off
Regularly scan with SuperAntiSpyware, PC Tools Spyware Dr and AdAware. This maybe overkill but works for me

I use Windows Live Onecare click here which provides all you need and costs £37.99 for three computers. I also use SUPERAntispyware free click here as an extra scanner.

Other free anti-virus programs are AVG-8 click here Avast click here which you can look at and decide on.

Firewalls such as Comodo click here is another in addition to Zone Alarm click here
but I have to say that Vista has it's own two way firewall which is good enough for the home user. J.B.
