Oh dear. My teenage daughter in her roamings on her netbook appears to have downloaded this naughty security tool thing, and it is blocking everything and anything.

I have looked at some threads and forum postings, and tried the Malwarebytes link, came up with pc spyware doctor, dutifully downloaded onto usb and transferred and ran it on netbook. It found 11 threats and 420 infections (eek!) - BUT when I went to remove it wanted £40 for the pleasure.

I have no problem paying for security - BUT I have McAfee (for our household) and it is in date till next April. BUT it has disappeard from her computer.

Which are best free tools and what do you think is best way forward???

Thanking you all in advance!
