Is Security Solutions antivirus valid software?

  3 phase 22:00 01 Apr 2009

I've just acquired a netbook and went to download AVG software. I stupidly downloaded something called Security Solutions antivirus software from this site click here
It looks valid, but I can't find any information or ratings.
I'm concerned I've been duped and it's a smart spyware package. Can anyone offer opinion on the validity of this product?

It might be valid software, but you'll have to pay to use it.

I also discovered their site by accident many months ago.

The free AVG (the one we all know about) can be found at click here.

Hope this helps.

I've just had a look at Security Solutions antivirus and it seems to be almost completely anonymous. There are various links about the net that hijack searches for assorted reputable antivirus programs. See this comment link click here
But at no point have I been able to find a home page or any data on the supposed software writers "Security Solutions" no address, no contact data. Nor are they listed by Virus Bulletin click here
personally I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

Thank you one and all; I've hunted around myself and come to the same conclusion as Belatucadrus - time to say goodbye to Security Solutions
