security for second pc?

hello,i have just networked a second pc,through a router.i have zone alarm and norton 2003 on my main xp machine.i have a second pc running 98 se.what sort of things should i be doing to keep it safe?my router has a built in firewall but i have not usde it as i have zone alarm on main pc,thanks,any suggestions?.peter.

Whats wrong with Zone alarm & AVG for the second PC.

You might even find that AVG is better than Norton as its not as system hungry

am i allowed za on 2 pc,s(it is the free za)i will try avg though.are the firewalls on the router any good (the router is a zyxel 334)

I dont think that ZA works on a network. Just a thought.

just a thought.the other pc will have a differant ip address so zone alarm would be ok on my sons pc,he would download it,he would use his e-mail etc,so a differant user on a differant pc.or is this unethical,and a no no,it is free after all? your comments please..thanks,peter.
