Security message

This evening I had a strange security message pop up on my Thunderbird click here I have never seen anything like this before using TB. I just closed it and ignored it.

I'm using Linux Ubuntu. The email accounts I use are 2 x Gmail, 1 x Yahoo, 1 x Hotmail and 3x ntlworld accounts which now use the Googlemail servers. I haven't got any live.com accounts.

I would be interested in any comments what it could be? Or if anyone else has had the same?

Recently I have had similar messages on Thunderbird, Linux Mint 5 especially when I have left it minimised. I shut it down and restart it with no problems.

Thanks Jollyjohn, it seems like a feature then? Seriously though, I'm not too worried about it as it seems inert. I might be someone probing ports or something. I do leave it minimised on the bottom panel when I'm using the browser.

Ntl has just upgraded there e-mails and I think POP 995 is normal now.

They have done that a few months ago. I would have expected that security message to appear long before now. Anyway, NTL and Gmail both use port 993, not 995.

Found the culprit, Hotmail uses pop3.live.com on port 995, so I'll just ignore it.
