Security - I locked myself out!

  je-haz 00:55 24 Jan 2009

I was trying to block access for a certain user to my D drive, but I have ended up blocking myself out too :(

On my home PC, I have set the Users and Authenticated Users to disabled on al security settings.

Now it wont let me access D drive, even as the Administrator.

Is there any way to get my files back and revers this? Thanks

Try system restore.

You don't say what os you have but try this:

Go into Computer Management and change the drive letter.

Failing that, take it out and put it in another machine, get the data off it and re-format it.

Apologies if I have missed the point

Thanks all.

I spent some time on this and think I figured it.
Sorry, it is Vista Ultimate.

I went to security -> Owner -> Edit, and changed the owener to be myself.
This allowed me to access everything.

Then I set the SYSTEM, Administrators and my user profiles up to be the same as on C: Drive.

This seems to have fixed it all.
