I have just noticed, that when using laptop on my wireless router, the laptop says it's a 'Public Network'. This is despite the fact that I had to put in a wireless password when we first bought the laptop. Does this mean tht anyone withiin range can now use my wireless connection? I m bit puzzled, and dont know how to check if its secure. Any help appreciatd.

The "Public Network" setting is used when the connection is likely to be used in public places, such as WiFi Hotspots, Hotels, Airports etc. It is more secure than the "Home Network", which allows access by other networked computers.
