Second hard drive

I have bought a new "box" with Windows XP Home installed; while I am perfectly happy with it, I wondered if I could also use my old hard drive from my original box; it has W 98 SE installed; if I moved it to my new box, could I set up the computer so that, on occasions, if I wanted to, I could use W 98? Or, would it be more advisable simply to reformat my old drive and just use it as extra space?

The option of formatting the old drive and using it for storage is more advisible; you can get a dual boot setup, but not easily (you will have to go into the BIOS each time and tell it what disk to boot to).

Or you can format the disk with XP, install 98, then install XP.

But unless you have some old hardware / software without XP support, there is no real vaule in having 98.
