Seagate or Western Digital ?

Thinking of upgrading hard drive to 200 gig for handling DVD files. Instinct tells me Seagate (3 year warranty v 1 year from western digital).

IBM offer 3 years on their deskstar but had one that recently went t*ts up & lost everything! (on enquiring via web a couple of folk referred to them as "DEATHSTAR" drives therefore not going there again!

any suggestions / recommendations greatly appreciated.

SOME Western Digital HDD's (OEM versions) do carry a 3 year warranty. Have a look at this page click here

I too bought Seagate plus with 3 yr warranty because of quiet running and also excellent software for transferring files and folders from old disc to new
