Some sd 512 mb cards are not much more expensive than a 256 card. Is there any reason to buy the more expensive cards for a Kodak DX7630 camera.
I don't mind paying the dearer price, but I don't like wasting money. If anybody with more expertise than me can give me advice it would be appreciated.

You can store twice as many images on the 512.

I don't use SD cards, but I bought a Memory Stick for my Sony camera from 7Dayshop. It was MUCH below the price in the Hifg Street retailers, and I've been using it for 2 years with no problems. For SD cards click here

Hifg Street = High Street ;-)

Lidl will be selling 512 SD cards on Thursday for £24.99.

7Dayshop - £15.99 ;-) (+£3.99 postage)

7 day shop prices 256 SD Card £15.99 - 512 SD Card £28.99

That's correct - I bought the 256MB one recently at those prices.

10 days later an e-Buyer weekend special e-mail offered 256MB cards at £15 plus including p and p...:-(

Don't forget that you can also use such cards, in conjunction with a card reader/writer, for storing/transporting programs, files, utilities etc, as well as using it for your camera.

I bought both cheap and expensive SD cards for my digital camera and to be honest I can see no difference.

Oops - sorry, my bleary old eyes - I read the wrong line. Ebuyer is better click here
