scratch like noise when burning audio CD's

when I burn a audio CD I have noticed on playback between where track ends to next track a scratch like noise. I have noticed this on a compilation of mixed audio tracks.

a week or two ago I posted about difficulty using Nero. This CD was created using Media Player v11 on XP Pro. I have also got Ashampoo but not installed it yet.

Re this scratch noise, is it anything to do the the setting within media player about quality loss where if changed it burns the tracks in bigger files to the disk ?

Not sure about your query regarding the setting within WMP but I would install Ashampoo Burning Studio and use that - so simple and it just works!

If you are making an audio cd there are no bigger files than what you already have

As I record Data & ISO images with Nero will Ashampoo not conflict or cause any issues if I keep Nero on my machine.

a DVD.

When you have burned a DVD image, where does the image reside in windows so I can delete it please.

Will burn a audio CD to play tomorrow on my rounds and report back
