I have been looking at the Microtek 5600 scanner, has anybody got one,or any idea how good it is?
I am also looking at a Canon Lide 50 which seems very good.

I've no experience of the Microtek brand, but believe them to be good quality scanners. Myself I have the Canon LiDE 50 and think it's a superb scanner. Scan a document, or a photo and it's very difficult to tell the original from the copy. j.

I dont know the Microtek 5600 but I have a Visioneer 9020, it is fantastic and has been no.1 in PCA top 10 for a while - seriously recomend it

Just to let the people who responded know that I did buy a Canon Lide 50 and I am very, very pleased with it.Not only is it very fast,it also produces excellent scans and is very small and light.I ended up buying it at Argos for £69.99.
