Scanner Not Working With Vista

  SebBux 12:27 07 Jan 2009

I have been trying to set up my old Visisoneer 4800 scanner on my Pc.

Even though the install disc states 98/2000/ME/XP
and i have (Windows Vista) it still installs. But the scanner will not work.

When i click to start scanner i get problem box appear. Check power cable or USB scanner cable.

Nothing wrong with power or scanner to Pc connection.

Is it just not compatible?

I be grateful for any suggestions.

When i click Twain (start) i get the a box appear.

Scanner is not found! Please check the following:
(1) Power adaptor is plugged in the scanner connector.
(2) USB cable is properly connected with the scanner and PC.
(3) USB setting is enable in BIOS

Strange, works ok with firefox, maybe you have the security settings too high.
