Saving Streaming video clips

I often find myself watching streaming video clips on the Internet in general or on Utube. Is there any way I can save these clips to view again later?

Hiya Rubroy,
RealPlayer 11 records most streaming video incl You Tube. It's free to download but if you register an email addy you won't be nagged with promo stuff. Realplayer and VLC player can play the files you record.

Thanks Slimk.
We don't have Real Player 11 I think, but will look at the version we have (10?). How do we capture the video though - there doesn't seem to be a 'Save' or 'save as' option on most of them?
Off line now 'til Monday Eve. Have a good Bank Holiday.

With the video clip playing put your mouse over the clip and then right mouse click, you should see "save to realplayer" if this is not there then you may have to refresh the page several times, this happens quite a lot on UTube, if it works ok you can if required go to "my docs" then "my videos" and there should be a folder in it called "RealPlayer Downloads".
Hope this helps..

I have used 'Save 2 pc' on a few occasions without any trouble. You can download it from here.

Blackhat,
Thanks - sounds good but like so many 'free' programs, it turns out to be a con to make you buy a 'better' version. Seems to specialise in porn I think - not for me thanks

I haven't used it,but at least it seems to be freeware.

I have used the one you have given the link to and it works fine. Just paste in the YuoTube URL and save the file. Then convert it to a format that you can use. The High Quality WMV is good for on your computer.
