Saving Media file to local Disk?

Is it possible to save a media file from the internet direct to your hard drive? I can play the file in media player but when I click file/ save as, it is greyed out. So I am wondering if there is another way to save it?

Give us a clue? What media file is it? Where is it located?

at click here the

Actual file is called

“Iraq – 2RRF "IED Alley" - Dur 4.23”

To get to it you need to click on watch BFBS reports, then BFBS archive, then Tuesday 10th may.

The file is the second one down.

Hope this makes sense.

Just checked it out. Right clicked it and selected Save Target As. File is saved as cdn.

Plays OK in Windows Media Player on my computer.

Doing it that way only saves a short cut to the flim. You still need to be online to veiw the clip.
I am tring to save the complete file on my hard drive.

try double click link to play, than as it starts in media player, click file, add to library, currently playing item

Madpad_001, well it doesn't on my computer. Once it is saved I don't have to be online to view it.
