click here Amic Bacckup will save your emails directly to a cd, for Favourites you could just select all and copy to your CD drive

Vista has its own "burner" - just right click the folder/file you want to save to CD,and choose "Send to..." the choice will probably be "DVD drive" even though you're saving to a CD. Put a writable CD in the drive and follow the instructions.

Not sure I understand what you mean, if you use Amic as I suggested you can save all your emails and settings to anywhere you want. To read them you must restore them to your email client. They are for backup purposes.

This free program will let you open dbx files and let you read the e-mails, click here
In XP I find the Outloox Express file and then send it to aflash drive where the above program then lets me open and read the e-mails.

I`ve installed the oeviewer but it will not open all folders, says no message inside, can you explain the process you use ie find file send to flash drive etc bytheway my OS is Vista 32,

Which e-mail application are you using? Is it Windows Mail? My understanding is the OE doesn't work with Vista and hence oeviewer is no good for you.

Your problem was opening DBX files which are used by XP in Outlook Express. Vista uses Windows Mail which has a different file system and OE Reader cannot en them.
