"save as" in XP ?

hi again, could some bright spark tell me how to save an image which is up on the screen onto a floppy disk, i am using Nikon Viewer, right click just gives me options, like...edit,zoom in,next, and so on, and there is nothing along the top in the File,Edit, and so on

You don't say from which software you are trying to save the image.

I usually select all Ctr C

Open up a blank M Word

and Ctr V It pastes it into there

Works from most applications Of course do all your editing and customisation before U do all that.

It looks like the Nikon Viewer is just that..... a viewer.


You need to set it up to work with a paint package in order to save the photos.


Click File\Edit using other programs >


Select the paint package you normally use (Paint Shop Pro / MS Paint / etc.)

This should open the paint package and import that file. It is then just a case of File\Save as (in the paint package).

Can't you view it in windows fax and picture viewer and then click on the floppy and the n select 3.5in foppy from the drop down menu. Be aware in this day and age, alot of pictures will be bigger than the floppy disc. A cd r/rw would be better.
