Save Updates in xp

To save updates in XP, Create a folder in Windows\Explorer, put whatever name you want on it. Now after you run Update, the Download goes into C:\Windows\WUTemp folder so as soon as it starts to download open explorer and click the above WUTemp folder so you can see the files it is down-loading, as soon as it starts to install the files on your computer that means when the bottom blue bar starts to move across select all the files and right click and drag to the folder that you created and choose copy. you can then burn these to CD and if you have to reload windows it just a case of double clicking on the download files one at a time. Saves downloading again

get microsoft to send you the latest CD updates @ no cost. Then again shortly going to get SP2 available on CD...........

By the time you get the CD there will be another 50 security updates to download
