I have been recommended to download this software to save YouTube videos to so that I can view them afterwards rather than at the time on a slow broadband connection. Is it ever worth converting to the std or pro packages which you pay for?
It depends on whether you want such files downloaded in a particular format. See:click hereYou'll note that the free version only handles three formats i.e. fiv, avi and MPEG.
paid for versions usually give you extra features, you have to decide if you will ever use these or will the basic do all you need.
Here's another free one for consideration, I use it all the time and find it superb click here
