savage graphics inc

ive recently bought a laptop with xp on,and it shows its got a s3 savage graphics inc this an old graphics card?and ifso,have you any suggestions what to replace it with?

You can't replace the graphics card in a laptop; you might be able to increase the amount of RAM given over to graphics via the bios.

What laptop is it? (make and model).

its a toshiba portege 3480ct,i only paid 100 quid for it with loads of extras.its my first computer so im happy wiyh it for now.

Sounds good for a starter. Don't worry about the rather old graphics. They will probably be OK except for some modern games. If you can increase the RAM that would be worthwhile. Just enjoy it!

PIII 600Mhz, 64MB, 12GB HDD, 11.3" (1024x768), Win 98

Good machine - stay with win98 or maybe 2k and bump up the ram to 256 if you can.

it came with xp,office 2003.and 600mhzp111,192mb.reading some forums,they say xp should be on a computer with minimum 512mb,but this is quite fast at 2mb from blueyonder.
