I hope to be assembling these parts this week, just waiting on 3 bits from Ebuyer.
4GB G.Skill RipJaws 1600MHz DDR3 Dual Channel Memory Kit
550W OCZ Fatal1ty Modular Power Supply
Gigabyte GA-P55-US3L
1TB Samsung SpinPoint F3 HD
BX80605I5750 - Intel Core i5 750, S 1156, Lynnfield, Quad Core
Xigmatek Midgard
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Quiet Intel CPU Cooler

My question concerns the sata hdd,is there anything I need to know or do prior to installing Windows 7 and are sata drives partitioned using the usual software.
My apologies if the questions are a tad simplistic but this is my first sata.

when sata first came out under xp it was a little bit of a beast to set up. By the time xp had got to sp2 sata installed with no trouble at all. I would suspect that it is probably seen by w7 as the normal and you should have no problem with it at all. Partitioning should be handled simply by the w7 set up prog.
