I think I have made a mistake, I have bought a new HHD which turns out to be a SATA powered one whereas I thought that it was an IDE. Is there any way in which I can use it or will I have to see if I can return it?? It is my own mistake.

You may need to load the drivers

No sata ports on this board click here

if you want to keep the sata drive get a PCI sata controller click here

No point inloading SATA drivers this board is too old and has no sata ports.

What I was intending to do was, install a second HDD. I have the one spare plug on the IDE cable.
Now I have got myself really confused.
Thanks for the above info, but unsure on how to connect etc.

Yeah, I figured it was an older type...

Matsonic website is pretty hopeless...

Hi Fruit bat, the links don't work for me.

5 squid plus a few more (saver delivery) for an ide to sata converter click here or Fruit Bat /\0/\'s link is the best alternative for future expansion.
