SAGE instant accounts username in use

  seligkram 13:40 03 Apr 2003

My friend has suddenly been unable to get past an error message in SAGE. The message is "username is in use - the program cannot connect you at this time."

This is a stand-alone PC, not networked, nor internet, running Windows XP.

The program halts at this stage. Does anyone know how to get round this, please?

This is a known bug and your friend should be able to obtain a update from sage?

What version are they using? when you purchase a new version it comes with the update on a floppy and you use this to recover from the error.

Sorry if this is a little vague,Im not up on Sage software and this info was obtained from a friend who uses Sage.

Hope this helps.

It may be a requirement to update sage software at regular intervals.

For instance: It might be held that Sage was liable for outdated advice, should a financial loss occur.

This would be a very simple way of locking Software that was, say, more than 3 years old.

thanks for help - this seems to be the answer, and my friend contacted Sage, who gave her instructions to delete a certain file, and will be sending her an update
