RW Drive not accessible

  lightfeet 15:24 09 Jun 2006

When I try to copy to my Pioneer DVR 109 CD/DVD Rewriter I receive the “F:\ is not accessible - incorrect function” notification. It will autoplay CD/DVDs OK but cannot be accessed to record onto. I have tried deleting the driver & restarting but this hasn’t helped. Device Manager shows the drive as working OK. Any ideas on how to resolve this please?

I should also mention that for some time, on Start Up, I receive “LoadApp fail” notice, & I am wondering if this has anything to do with the above problem.

What software are you using to copy, XPs built in , Nero, Roxio?

XP = My computer - right click drive - select properties - recording tab - tik "Enable recoding on this drive"

as Fruit Bat /\0/\, has asked, what software are you using for your burning.

XP will write to a cd-rw, but not to a DVD-rw.

Thanks to you all for your prompt replies. Fruit Bat /\0/\'s suggestion to tick "enable recording on this drive" has done the trick. Thanks once again.
