Running Windows XP Home in Grayscale.

When XP shuts down , it displays the desktop in grayscale, even on a colour monitor.
Is there a simple way to run Windows XP (home) permanently in grayscale using a TFT colour monitor?

If you just want grayscale and no colour the only way I can think of would be to use the monitor controls and adjust the colour.

or type "gray theme" into google

Thanks for the responses.
This is not a vital need- just simple curiosity really. I can get a quasi-grayscale look using the graphics controller , themes and the browser colour settings, but the results are patchy, especially on the Internet. I had expected this to be a one-click option like switching from 32 bit colour to 16 bit. I'm surprised to find it's actually very difficult.
There seems to be no option in either Windows itself or the Intel Extreme graphics control software. I keep thinking I must be missing something very simple.
