sorry to mention the router again. I will be going to purchase one tomorrow. Now i have BT Broadband basic but do i have to buy a paticular router or can it just be any ADSL Router also will i need one with a modem built in or not. cheers.

Any ADSL modem/router. Although I would, in my experience, recommend that you stay with 802.11g - not Pre-n, and no need for MIMO in most cases - and stay with 3Com/Linksys/Belkin/D-Link/Draytek/etc. Don't buy too cheap or too obscure.

All i can say is i strongly suggest you do NOT get a bt router. They are proper rubbish. Mine disconnects every 5 minutes on the dot!

BT routers are mostly okay, though I would not actively choose one over certain other products that have a distinct edge in some respects.
