Router, or Computer problem

I have a wireless router with Tiscali 1mb broadband. Connected to the router are two PC's which are both wired to it. The prolbem is that my computer cannot connect to the interent or MSN, But my dad's does.

My computer however does work when I use a normal Adsl modem.

I have restarted the router several times to see if that was the probelm, but did not solve anything.

I have done a connection test with MSN messenger and it claims that there is a problem with the DNS and proxy.

Does anybody know how to solve this??

Thanks in advance

is the network card OK?
ping 127.0.0.1 from the command prompt?
if you get a response

C:\Documents and Settings\loz>ping 127.0.0.1

Ping statistics for 127.0.0.1:

Are you able to ping the router?

also use >ipconfig /all
this should give you the IP address and the Default gateway (the router)
whether dhcp is enabled and the dns servers

Can you give us some results/ readings?
