HI,
Can anyone tell me how I can find out the IP Address of a router, one of my friends wants me to set up his router but dosen't know the IP address of it, hence I cannot get access to the router configuration via a browser, is there a utility available that can tell me this information ? Any information on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

try 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1

Netgear's default gateway is 192.168.0.1
Belkin uses 192.168.2.1
Most others use 192.168.1.1
And some routers use 10.0.0.1 or 10.0.0.2

Oh, and some of the most recently released routers resond to a URL for some unknown reason. An IP is quicker to type, but there you go.
