Router cuts out, for unknown reasons

  mrfinch 19:22 07 Dec 2005

I have a Belkin router, (F5D6230-3) - two computers. First computer in which the router runs off has a USB Access Point also by Belkin and my laptop has a Belkin PCI Network Adapter.

Both computers run XP and run on the network fine - until last week! For some reason, the router stops sending wireless signals for no reason, I can connect to the control panel on the local IP Address and it syas we're connected - but, it's not sending out any signal.

I can't figure out why it does it, neither how it comes back. I first thought it was my AV Sender, but since turning it off it continues, it's nothing else as it's been working fine for years. I am unsure if my two neighbours have wireless but no matter what channel I use it happens.

It's getting really irritating now, to the point I emailed Belkin but they ignored me. I have uninstalled everything to do with Belkin from my desktop computer for now and leaving the router on my bed unplugged.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how to stop it?
