Need to run quite a long RJ11 line cord from telephone socket to the ADSL modem approx 15 metres.
The problem is I don't know where to buy a cord this long. Can someone please suggest a place.
Thanks

If you are on 56K modem and want to use the same cable you can buy an adaptor to convert it to rj11. Got mine from PC World.

Maplin do a max of 10M! I need at about 15m.

Just buy an ordinary telephone extension cable of the length you require and plug the RJ11 into it at the modem end.

I mean, of course, the short RJ11 that should come with your modem.

It's the standard way of connecting modems to your phone line and, in addition, the extension cable should be somewhat more robust than an RJ11 version.

you could run ordinary phone cable and put in a new socket...if you get the one in which you push the wires into, as against the screw type, you can get the tool for about £1.....
