I have just ventured into a new build, got new M/B that has a Lan RJ-45 port. do I nead a NIC card or do I plug my ethernet cable from my router into this port. In the M/B manual it describes this port as "Lan RJ-45 port allows gigabit connection to a local area network through a network hub" regards.

Well, RJ45 is for ethernet, so would assume the mobo has a built-in adaptor - most do now.
