I use Windows Media Player 11 and would like to rip CDs to MP3 format @ 64kbps and 32kbps. IOn the MP3 option, it only allows down to 128kbps.Does anyone know a way round this?I don't want to rip to WMAThanksRonnie 268
Don't think WMP will rip any lower than 128, but most freeware rippers should get down that low.
have a look at audiograbberclick here
1: Audacity 1.2.6 installer, click here2: LAME MP3 encoder, Same Page, Saves MP3's @ 320, 256, 224, 192, 160, 128, 112, 96, 80, 64, 56, 48, 40, 32, 24 & 16 kbps.
Q: How do I get WMP to rip at 96kbps MP3? A: Set one of the "Rate" values at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Settings\MP3Encoding to 96k
Thanks for replies. regedit worked brilliantly
