Friends HELP : Suddenly this weekend I have started reciving Approx 250 returned Emails. They are of the usual Spam type. Morgage . Viagra Etc Etc. This I can put up with as Spam, but when someone somewhere is using my address as the sender something is wrong. Can annyone help in stopping this. I have set settings to try and stop any more getting into the Inbox by telling it to delete mail from "system administrator..postmaster...mailer-daemon.
Please can anyone help any further. Thanks BILL

Klez Virus: This worm searches the Windows address book, the ICQ database, and local files for email addresses. The worm sends an email message to these addresses with itself as an attachment.

Someone with your email address in their address book has the Klez virus.

Check your PC for the virus as well.

Check your computer for a virus. As stated above it could Klez or Sircam on the way round again. After you have used your usual Anti virus prog. I suggest that you run Housecall as well.

This often finds nasties that other programs miss. It take quite a long time to download this the first time you use it but it is a worthwhile exercise.

Sounds like here and then update your AV.

As bvw in bristol says the virus will not be on bpboonn PC if he/she is getting the returned mail but on someones pc who has his/her email address. the Klez removal tool will be of no use.

Thank you all who answered my problem. My cure for this is to change my Email address.

You will find that within a few days the returned e-mails will dry up anyway.
