I was recently attacked by a rather unpleasant trojan. During the process of backing up everything, I somehow lost Outlook Express and with it all my emails back to the year dot. I don’t know if this is down to the trojan or if I accidentally deleted it myself, though the latter seems a bit unlikely.
A friend has suggested it may be possible to recover the emails but she doesn’t know how. I don’t now if this a stupid question but it’s worth a try.
My Outlook Express program files show the following msoe msoe.dll msoeres.dll oeimport.dll oemig50 oemiglib.dll setup50 wab wabfind.dll wabimp.dll wabmig
Thanks, David4637. Have got no .dbx files but found (name) john morton (in folder) C:\Documents and Settings\john morton\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book and as above but with name john morton.wab~. I think these are probably from Outlook, where my addresses are stored
