Restoring Win'98 backup files (.QIC) in XP

  splinternet 11:15 09 Feb 2003

I want to transfer files and folders from my old Win98 system to my new XP machine. I ran the Win98 backup utility and created .QIC files on Iomega Zip's. But having fired up my new XP machine, I can't see any Restore utility (or even Backup, for that matter). How can I restore these backup's? The new machine came from Time, they have supplied two CD's: "Your Windows XP Reload/Backup CD", and "Your System and Driver CD". Will either of these help?

This tells you how to install Backup from a Windows CD click here

I'm not sure whether this file will be on your Time disks.

VoG - coincidentally, was just reading this article. It mentions the ntbackup.msi file, but I don't have a Windows XP CD. Reading the bumpf from Time, the two CD's they provided won't contain this either.
