Restoring Images from a Formatted SmartMedia Card?

To say the least, I'm utterly gutted.

Whilst on holiday, I needed to quickly delete some images on my FinePix 6900zoom, however instead of erasing a single image I accidentally selected 'format' and the camera then proceeded to delete all my holiday images :(

I've tried using a program called PC Inspector Smart Recovery in an attempt to reclaim these images from the firey pit, however with no success.

Does anyone know whether it's going to be possible for me to get these images back?

Thanks

There are companies out there that specialise in this sort of thing (do a search on Google. On the odd occasion that I have attempted recovery, I found Zero Assumption to be one of the best. click here

If no further images were taken then it MIGHT be possible, however if you have already tried then i am afraid you are probarly knacked, suprised you didnt notice the "are you sure" warning!!

Well, y'see, I thought the 'are you sure' warning was relating to deleting the individual image.

My excuse is that I'd not slept for 3 days and had just reached the top of Mount Sinai! My brain just wasn't operational!

All is not lost, try Woodchips suggestion first. If you have no luck mail me and I'll send a freebie program, 608kb, which I've used once and it worked for me, where PC Inspector failed.

PC Inpector is certainly not the best out there. If you've not overwritten the card try zero assumption click here
