Restoring Deleted Files

Help! Files from Windows XP "My Documents" somehow found their way into the Library section of Limewire -(I certainly didn't put them there!) So I deleted the Library section - only to find to my dismay that the files had also been deleted from "My Documents". Now I can't find them! Is there ANY means of recovering them? I've tried System Restore to no avail - and I'm really desperate to get hold of them again!

No luck I'm afraid - but thanks guys. All I have is a short cut which then prompts a box saying "The document name or path is not valid". So is this the end of my files? Do I just live and learn?

Try click here

You need to run this off a different drive - e.g. a floppy.

But they are only recoverable if they haven't been written over with new data. As time goes by, the more that chance exists.

The reason is that when files are deleted - they aren't actually erased from the disk - the space they occupy is given back to the computer as useable. S they're there until the space is used. That happens pretty quickly with modern OSs.
