Bebbo thanks for assistance
I mean after being put to standby mode, when I wake up the pc with the power switch, the logon screen is skipped and my kestop pops up. Since I'm single user I don't really need this logon screen, but it's home made and I love it.
Any idea how I can bring it back?

Standby is just that - you are not logged off and therefore will not show your logon screen. You will only see it when booting from "off".

I eventually figured it out. I post it, dunno if that might be useful to someone.
Contro Panels>Power Options>Advanced>Check 'Prompt for password when computer resumes from standby'
And password or not, that logon screen pops up sure enough.
Cheerio!
