Please help me
My laptop keeps rebooting again and again every ten minutes creating memory dumps and lenghthy error messages on BSOD.
Can anything be done about it? I spent many many hours trouble shooting including reformting and clean install. But no luck. THe OS is XP Pro.and RAM is 256MB. CPU is Pentium III.

With thanks

Could possibly be a power problem does it occurr on both mains and battery mode ?

Hi, the usual reason for rebooting like yours is Overheating/Fan problems. Could also be your Power Saving sattings. Make sure laptop is used on level surface (not on your lap) with clear air-flow all round. Check fans are operating ok. Check your Power Saving settings in Control Panel.

Have you any yellow exclamation marks under any item in Device Manager? Do you have SP2 installed - I once had a similar problem which was cured when SP2 was initially released.

Also check for virus and spyware.
