Resizing Pictures

hi there.
i have a pic that i want too use as a Avatar in a forum as my pic..but the size has not got too be bigger than 64x64 mine is! .im not sure on how too resize a pic that i have downloaded of the web. as the pic is too big .. any ideas plz wud be appreciated...tx.

Open the picture in IrfanView click here and use Image/Resize to change the size.

ok vog ive got that ..But how do i put me pic in there..sorry 4 the ignorance but all new too me this stuff.. :O)..

Simple, drag n drop your image then in the tool bar go to image and select resize/sample and then experiment as to what size you require.

A word of warning, when saving your NEW image size, click on SAVE AS and create a new file/image, if you choose save you will overwrite the original image!

cheers m8 i got that now when i go too the forum too insert me pic it requires the url.. now how do i get that! if i go too the web site i got it from, will it go back too its original size?

You will need to upload it - if you don't have your own webspace you can use click here

Browse to select the picture then click the Host it! button.

sorry mate not sure what do here i clicked on my pics and the url was then copied into what u gave me but when i went too copy it in meforum it said not valid ,sorry

The URL should be something like

http: //

without the spaces.

well what i did vog was registered too image shack then went too get the pic i want outta my pictures then entered it in box but it said only zip images can be used .. lol.. baffled now..

i went too the forum too enter the url and its telling me its not a Valid file Extension ,??whatever that means ...
