Replacing my monitor

I have a mesh E6600 system with a Geforce 7950GT video card.

I am having trouble with my monitor and need to replace it. The main use is for photo editing so I need full adjustability of the settings.

The current monitor is a Viewsonic VP2030b (1600x1200) and I wouldn't want to go any smaller. It cost about £400 and I expect I would be looking at the same for a replacement.

I have 2 questions:

1. What monitor resolution will my vido card support?

2. Any suggestions for a monitor in the range £400-£600 as a replacement?

Can't help with video card, but I upgraded from my 19" monitor to an AOC 24" a few months ago from here:

Very good service from them and very pleased with it.
Very reasonably priced. Certainly cheaper than your price range, but of course I don't know your requirement.

This is a fantastic monitor click here which has 1900x1200 resolution and your card will handle it with ease.
