Hi,

I require a new piece of PC fan filter, but the size I need will cost around £12.Doesn't sound like much, but is there a cheaper or free alternative ?.

I require a piece of filer material about 30cm square. It must be able to filter the dust and be flexible to position.

Can you suggest something please?.

Thank you

I believe packs of vacuum cleaner filter.
An open random fibre sort of stuff.
maybe other places too.

We had some muslin left over from a photo-shoot. It's very floppy so we soaked it in a diluted PVA adhesive, squeezed out the excess and stretched it out to dry. We then cut the stiff cloth into the correct size and loaded it on to the filter frame.

Very cheap and easy to do.
